The politics of now. The tragedy of the Nigerian country.
Like it happened in 2014, another round or is in circulation, so much money being bandied around amongst a few merchants of evil, all of them in pursuit of political power for very selfish personal goals and gains. The front line parties remain the big, not only are they poised to takeover, they are also ready to by up or destroy of the smaller ones especially those that look a bit challenging in whatever manner, such is the lot of the labour party and the African Democratic Congress . the labour party has been able to climb out of that valley largely due to the personality of its presidential candidate and the resurgent Nigerian youth, whilst the African Democratic Congress has not been able to withstand the torrential impact of pressures from outside and so just this week the party that once looked and stood firmly rooted succumbed to the now Nigerian factor, it destroyed its chances in the forth coming elections by breaking into two factions, with the new boys asking their national chairman to vacate office for he has stayed for too long, 17 years. As good as this argument sounds, one would have thought that the elections which are 6 months away would have been priority, but the new boys said no ,the house must dissolve, a caretaker committee put in place, a national convention held to fix a new leadership before the elections. How workable that will be is what we wait to see. But the main leadership maintains that it will hold its convention after the 2023 elections and so the country waits.
With the cracked walls in the African Democratic Congress, no doubt the forces of destabilisation have creped in and the centre can longer hold . the loser remains the Nigerian who feels there should be an alternative to either the PDP or APC.
As an unusual member of the political class, I watch with so much attention and care and can feel the looming danger, this country would have to travel through the river Jordan should either PDP or APC win in next years election. Except if God intervenes by any means, I fear for the merchants of evil are lurking around, they are strong and wealthy , their arrogance have no comparison, I will go to the book of psalms, I must read psalm 91.
